We refer to the weather event - Hurricane Laura which has today made landfall near Cameron, Louisiana, as a Category 4 storm. Some areas are thought to have experienced storm surges of up to 20 ft. Damaging winds and flooding rainfall are still in store for western Louisiana and eastern Texas. Arkansas and parts of Mississippi are also in store for heavy rainfall. The National Hurricane Center warned deadly surges could yet happen along the coastline Thursday morning, with northerly winds pushing ocean water inland.
