Anthony Smith
CEO & Shareholder Dip CII
Anthony joined WK Webster in 1997 and was seconded to our New York office in 2005, returning to our London Head Office in 2015 and maintaining overall responsibility for our US operations. Anthony separates his time between our Head Office in London and our regional office in New York. In 2011 Anthony was appointed as a Main Board Director of the WK Webster Group and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in 2016.

 London Steve Jarrett
General Manager

Steve joined the Cargo Claims Department of W K Webster & Co Limited as a Trainee Claims Adjuster, in 1981.He has spent the majority of his time in the Cargo Claims Department, which has included brief secondments in Antwerp, Rotterdam and New York.Having worked his way through the ranks, Steve is now the General Manager of the Cargo Claims Department, responsible for approximately 40 people. His current role involves handling marine cargo claims on behalf of major Insurance Companies, predominantly based in the USA, and Corporates, ranging from relatively small claims to large, complex claims. This involves assessing Policy liability, interpretation of Policies, appointing surveyors and making settlement recommendations.

  Mark Allison
General Manager, Dip. CII, PG Dip. Maritime Law
Responsible for our Cargo Claims teams handling claims for Insurers based in the London market, Europe, India and the Far East since returning to our London office after 9 years working in our Singapore office, 6 of which as Director responsible for all cargo, casualty and recovery claims. Mark has worked for W K Webster since 1995 in both London and Singapore and has experience of handling cargo, casualty, recovery and hull claims. He has a Diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute in London, a Post Graduate Diploma in Maritime Law from the London Metropolitan University, as well as navigational qualifications from the Royal Yachting Association. Mark will be predominantly based in our London office but retains overall responsibility for our Singapore Cargo Claims team.

Has been with W K Webster since 2001. Handles high volume multi national accounts in the petrochemical and computer industries and is responsible for Middle East sections.

  Tom Perkins
Manager
Tom originally joined WKW in 2007 and moved to a leading Insurance company in 2009 where he handled claims for their marine cargo, fine art and specie book of business. Tom returned to WKW in October 2016 and now is responsible for the London Market cargo claims team in the WKW London office.

  Richard Webber
Assistant Manager
Richard joined W K Webster in 2007. Richard’s first five years were based in our Cargo Casualty Management Department handling large, complex casualty claims before transferring to the Cargo Claims Department in 2012. Richard is responsible for our North America section and oversees a number of large commodity, automobile and household goods accounts.

  Hadleigh Wiles
Assistant General Manager
Hadleigh started his Insurance career in 2007 and re-joined WK Webster in 2016. He initially handled Cargo claims at WK Webster for two years and then moved to a well-known London Market insurer for six years, handling a variety of Cargo, Fine Art and Specie claims, in addition to managing a number of large profile market losses in a lead capacity. Hadleigh then moved to a major Lloyd's Syndicate handling all classes of Marine claims. Over his career, Hadleigh has built up a great deal of strong relationships with Assureds, Brokers and Managing Agents.

  Helen Cher
Manager
Helen worked for W K Webster in 2005-2008 and returned in January 2014. Helen has gained vast experience since entering the industry in 1995 handling a variety of marine claims in major insurance companies, a broking firm and in a leading global Average Adjusting firm. Helen has qualified as an Associate of The Association of Average Adjusters and is now responsible for not only handling claims but leading an expanding team in the Cargo Claims Department.

Jessica joined W K Webster as an Executive with the Recoveries Department in April 2000.  She joined the claims team 11 years later.  Jessica has prior working experience in the banking industry and possesses an LL.B from the University of Glamorgan, UK.
  Jayson Raj
Assistant Manager
Jayson joined WKW in 2010 and spent 6 years handling a wide variety of cargo claims for an array of insurers before moving to a well renowned re-insurance company in 2016, where he handled claims for their Marine cargo, Hull and Loss of Hire business. Jayson returned to WKW in January 2017 and is now responsible for the London Market team handling claims in the Asia region as well as claims for Singapore based insurers.

  Lum Siew Li 
Senior Executive Officer
Siew Li joined us in 1994 and transferred to our Claims Department in 1998. Siew Li is responsible for some of our major accounts with worldwide claims centralised from our Singapore office.
  Chua Yen Li 
Senior Executive Officer
Joined WKW 2005 as an Executive Officer and subsequently promoted to Senior Executive Officer. Yen Li gained a B.A from the National University of Singapore and has experience in Cargo claims handling as well as hull and P&I Insurance. Yen Li handles claims for a variety of local and overseas clients.

Joined in 1978 and has been stationed in our New York office since 1989 working on both technical Cargo Claims and Recoveries.
  George Willett
General Manager
Joined W K Webster London in 2006 working in our Cargo Claims department for a variety of clients. During 2009 George was on secondment to W K Webster in New York for a period of three months. In January 2013 George transferred full time to the USA and joined our rapidly expanding team in New York as Assistant Manager. George will be instrumental in the continued growth and management of our USA operation.
  Christopher Martin
Manager, MA
Has a Masters Degree in International Relations.  Christopher worked as a paralegal at a well-known maritime law firm in New York City for several years assisting in all aspects of the litigation of transportation claims and gained extensive experience in subrogation and defense for a number of cargo and liability underwriters, ocean carriers and shippers. Chris works on Cargo Claims and Recoveries.
   Jess Wood
Assistant Manager
Jess joined W K Webster in 2008 and handled cargo claims primarily for Insurance Companies located in Asia. In October 2015 Jess moved to a leading Lloyd's Broker where she handled various types of cargo claims and broadened her London Market portfolio, including the use of London Market systems. In February 2017 Jess returned to W K Webster as Assistant Manager, Cargo Claims Department, handling claims in the USA and South American region for London based insurers.

  Joel Acevedo

Joel has 16 years’ experience working in the insurance industry, holds adjuster’s licenses in 22 states and is fluent in Spanish. He started his career as an in-house claims assistant for a marine towing and transportation company handling H&M and P&I claims. Thereafter, Joel spent several years working for a major marine insurer handling marine cargo claims along with inland marine, recreational yachts and hull & machinery. Joel also worked as a senior claims examiner for at a specialty insurer for 4 years handling marine cargo, project cargo, household goods, inland marine and energy claims. In 2018 Joel joined W K Webster (Overseas) Ltd as Assistant Manager, Cargo Claims Department, handling claims for US and UK based insurers.

Section Head
Rika has worked as a marine claims adjuster handling commercial cargo, household goods and transit liability claims.  Rika is originally from Sapporo, Japan. Rika can communicate in Japanese and English.

   Daniel Boughtwood
Section Head

Daniel joined the firm’s London office in July 2011 and has worked on numerous sections in our Cargo Claims Department, primarily for our Far East clients. He also has experience in handling claims for London based Insurers. Daniel was made Case Handler in 2012 and seconded to work in our New York Office in April 2015. Daniel was promoted to Section Head in 2016 and currently oversees the handling of claims in the USA for Indian based Insurers.
