Sea Xpress

* We have received reports that general cargo ship, SEA XPRESS, lost stability during cargo operations at Mundra Port, India on 7 January 2023.

* The vessel finally came to rest against the berth with a list of approximately 70 degrees to starboard.

* It is reported that approximately 20 containers and a number of trucks loaded with stone were lost overboard as a result of the incident.

* Damage is also likely to have occurred to containers and trucks that were displaced but remained on board the vessel.

* We understand that operations to recover the cargo lost overboard are underway.

* It is possible that General Average/Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
