* Further to our initial report concerning the collapse of containers stowed on board container carrier, MADRID BRIDGE, it is now understood that approximately 60 containers were lost overboard and a further 80 containers were damaged as a result of the incident, but that additional losses and/or damage may be ascertained after further investigations.

* It is reported that the vessel has now been diverted towards Charleston, USA, missing out scheduled port calls at New York and Savannah, for a detailed assessment of the vessel's condition and to discharge the affected containers.

* Recovery issues will arise in respect of cargo lost overboard and damage sustained to cargo stowed to containers affected by the incident.
