CHITRAL

* We have received reports that bulk carrier, CHITRAL, collided with bulk carrier SARWAR JAHAN at Chittagong Port outer anchorage, Bangladesh, on 24 August 2023.

* According to reports, the SARWAR JAHAN lost its anchor chain which became entangled with CHITRAL's propeller.

* It is reported that an underwater inspection of the vessel's propellor will be required to ascertain the extent of damage arising as a consequence of the collision.

* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
