NACC ARGONAUT

*We have received reports that Cement Carrier, NACC ARGONAUT, ran aground whilst transiting the St. Lawrence Seaway, Canada on 24 September 2023.

*It is reported that the vessel was initially refloated and was able to resume it's voyage, albeit with restricted manoeuvrability, but has since run aground again.

* A tug is reported to now be providing assistance to attempt to refloat the vessel.

*It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
