SCOT EXPLORER

* We have received reports that general cargo ship SCOT EXPLORER experienced a loss overboard of part of its deck cargo of logs, in a position approximately 1.6 nautical miles east of Blyth, UK on 13 December 2023.

* It is reported that the vessel lost approximately 160 cubic meters of logs overboard, whilst approximately 400 cubic metres of logs remain stowed on deck on board the vessel.

* The vessel consequently diverted to Sunderland to assess the security of the remaining cargo on board.

* It is possible that GA and Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any of the cargo stowed on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
