STRIDE

* We have received reports that container ship, STRIDE experienced a fire on board whilst berthed at Barbours Cut Container Terminal, Houston on 4 January 2024.

* It is reported that the fire was extinguished by the local Fire Department.

* Nevertheless, it is possible that cargo in the vicinity of the fire may be affected by fire, heat, smoke and/or water damage as a result of the firefighting operation.

* We have a fire expert and cargo surveyors on hand to investigate the cause of the fire and the extent of damage to any cargo so affected, if required.

* It is also possible that General Average / Salvage and/or Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect
