PACIFIC SUN 1

* We have received reports that pontoon, PACIFIC SUN 1 whilst under tow by tug, ENDEAVOR 1, experienced an ingress of water in a position west of Pemping Island, Indonesia on 03 January 2024.

* It is reported that the pontoon developed a list as a result of the water ingress and was later intentionally grounded by the crew to avoid the possibility of the vessel sinking in the prevailing sea conditions.

* It is possible that General Average, Salvage and associated recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo stowed on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
