ST NIKOLAS

* We have received reports that oil tanker, ST NIKOLAS was boarded by 4 to 5 armed persons whilst navigating in a position approximately 50 nautical miles off Oman's coast on 11 January 2024.

* It is reported that the vessel has now been diverted towards Bandar-e-Jask port, Iran and that the AIS tracking system has been turned off.

* Reportedly a local Iranian news agency has issued a brief story acknowledging the seizure by Iran's navy which was the result of a judicial order.

* It is possible that General Average and Recovery issues may arise as a result of this incident.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
