SNP PAZAR

* We have received reports that general cargo ship, SNP PAZAR (IMO: 9549310) experienced an engine failure while navigating the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul, Turkey, on 27 January 2024.

* It is reported that repair works could not be carried out by the crew. Consequently, Coastal Safety tugs were deployed to assist the vessel and it is reported to be safely anchored at Ahirkapi Anchorage, Istanbul, for inspection and possible repairs.

* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
