LOTUS

* We have received reports that general cargo vessel, LOTUS (IMO: 9320635) experienced a machinery failure in a position approximately 32 nautical miles west of Ouessant, France on 3 March 2024.

* It is reported that the vessel was taken under tow by tug to Brest, France where it remains for inspection, and possibly, repairs.

* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
