TRUE CONFIDENCE

* We have received reports that bulk carrier TRUE CONFIDENCE (IMO 9460784) came under attack by missiles fired by Yemen's Houthi rebels, in a position approximately 50 nautical miles southwest of Aden, Yemen, on 6 March 2024.

* It is reported that a fire was ignited on board the vessel as a result of the missile strike and the vessel later may have been abandoned by the crew.

* The vessel is currently reported to be drifting whilst the fire continues to burn.

* Coalition forces in the region are reported to be assessing the situation.

* Tragically, three crew members are reported to have lost their lives and at least four other crew members sustained severe injuries as a result of the attack.

* It is possible that GA/Salvage and Recovery issues may arise as a result of this incident.
