YM WITNESS

* We have received reports that the Container Carrier, YM WITNESS (IMO: 9704609), allided with the pier and container terminal cranes during berthing manoeuvres at Evyap Port, Turkey, on 16 March 2024.

* It is reported that three cranes collapsed as a consequence of the allision.

* It has also been reported that several containers fell overboard from the vessel into the harbour as a result of the allision.

* The vessel currently remains at Evyap Port pending investigations into the cause of the incident.

* It is possible that Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo affected by this incident so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
