* We have received reports that bulk carrier, ST PINOT experienced a fire in the engine room in a position south west of Salalah, Oman on 8 July 2022.

* The crew were unable to restart the main engine as a consequence of the fire and it is reported that the vessel was later taken under tow by tug towards Duqm, Oman on 17 July 2022.

* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
